In honor of Beltane, here’s an old ritual for youth and beauty.
On Beltane morning, May 1st, go outside and gather some of the morning dew onto your hands. Then gently wipe the dew over your face. Finally, let it dry naturally. It is believed this is a way to maintain a young appearance.
Make sure to get up early so you can gather the dew before it evaporates for the day! Mark your calendar!
Dew is the moisture formed in the dark of night that is then kissed by the first rays of the sun before disappearing into the ether.
I have performed this ritual on many Beltane mornings over the years.
If you live in the South Florida area, hope to see you this Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Noon for the Beltane Sabbat with the Religious Order of the Circle of Isis Rising. The ritual will begin at 1 p.m. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a dish to share in our picnic after the ritual! The ritual will be conducted in a secluded area near our pavilion.
