Opening Doors

May 31st, 2016 by

thLast week, I was working with Feng Shui and cleaning my wealth area. As I was thinking about opening the doors to more prosperity, my eyes fell upon a small Anubis statue I have that came from Egypt. Anubis opens the doors to the underworld, so I thought maybe he could open some doors to my prosperity. I put the statue in my wealth area and said, “Mighty Anubis, as I have placed you in the wealth area of my home, may you open the doors to increasing the flow of money into my life with love, light, peace, and trust.”

The very next day, the lawn people came to cut our grass. While in the back yard, near the wealth area, one of the guys hit a rock. The rock flew and hit my sliding glass window, shattering it into a million pieces. When the gentlemen came with the replacement glass (that I did not have to pay for), he fixed the rollers in the door so the sliding glass door now moves more smoothly than it has in years.

Three days later, while in my kitchen (also located in the wealth area), the door to my oven fell off! The hinge was not the strongest and it chose that moment to fail. Now we are getting a new stove!

Yes, money flow has also increased; however, I feel Anubis wanted me to fix some of the things in my home to make the energy flow better. I got the message. This is typical of what Goddess puts me through.

Happy Happy Holidays!

Happy Yule! Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Modranect! Blessed Saturnalia! Happy Pancha Ganapati! Happy Bodi Day! Happy Kwanzaa! Happy Boxing Day! Feliz Navidad! By whatever path you walk (named or unnamed), may you enjoy good cheer, love and abundance this Winter Solstice season!

Regardless of tradition, the meaning is the same. In times of darkness, renewed light comes forth into the world. During this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere, the days grow short. The sun is weak. Then the Winter Solstice (also known as Mid-Winter) brings the shortest day of all. The light of the next morning’s sun has been compared to a newborn babe in many cultures. From the Winter Solstice and up until the Summer Solstice, the sun will grow and become the strong light that brings the heat of summer. Therefore, the Winter Solstice is a time of hope renewed as well as all that is strong and perpetual. The light of the returning sun reminds us that there are brighter days ahead. 🙂

Magickal Tip

July 31st, 2015 by

imageHere’s a little magickal tip. We Witches love our cast iron cauldrons for magick. It can hold water for scrying. You can burn petitions or candles in the cauldron. The cauldron symbolically represents the womb of Goddess, which is the Creative Force of the Universe. To add power to their cauldron, Witches will place magnets on the underside. My cauldron is in these photos. It has several magnets on the underside that I have collected over the years. Recently, I realized that old shower curtains are the perfect place for getting magnets. At least 3 of them. 🙂 So, whenever you replace your shower liner, make sure to take the magnets out. Those little extra freebies really feel good.
